2023-06-19 – The Saudi French Business Council (CAFS) held its meeting in Paris, on 19th June 2023, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Khalid Al-Faleh, Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia, and of H.E. Mr. Olivier Becht, French Minister of External Trade, Attractiveness and French Expatriates.
The meeting was organised in collaboration with the MEDEF International, the Institut Choiseul, and the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia. It brought together more than 100 companies from France and Saudi Arabia.
The agenda of the meeting was the following:
- 9.00 am – Welcoming speech by Mr. Laurent Germain, Co-President of the CAFS;
- 9.05 am – Opening speech by Dr. Mohamed Ben Laden, President of the CAFS (please see link to download the speech here below);
- 9.10 am – Presentation of the Note Saudi Arabia 2.0 by Dr. Pascal Lorot, President of the Institut Choiseul (please see link to download the Note Arabie 2.0 here below);
- 9.20 am – Presentation of the new strategy of the Saudi French Business Council (CAFS) and of the new services offered to French companies;
- 9.30 am – Q&A session with participants;
- 9.55 am – Closing remarks by H.E. Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Faleh, Saudi Minister of Investment, and by H.E. Mr. Olivier Becht, French Minister of External Trade, Attractiveness and French Expatriates.
During the Q&A session several French and Saudi companies shared their successful experiences with bilateral business partnerships, and invited all French companies present at the meeting to come to invest in Saudi Arabia.
This message was also shared by H.E. Mr. Al-Faleh, who invited French companies to develop their operations in the Kingdom and to join the Saudi French Business Council, since it is open to foreign entities.
The meeting was followed by the France Saudi Investment Forum organised by the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia.
