With 13 ports, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is characterized by its strategic geographical location, as a gateway, a connection zone between three continents (Asia, Europe and Africa) and a major hub for commercial transport. by sea. The VISION 2030 plan exploited these strengths and built on the diversification of the non-oil economy by launching pioneering projects to achieve strategic objectives aimed at making the Kingdom the next global logistics hub.

To achieve this objective, the Kingdom launched the National Industrial Development Logistic Program where 160 projects were launched in order to:

• increase the volume of goods transported by the Kingdom’s ports to nearly 40 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) to attract 100 million tourists by 2030, notably through the development of tourist flows by sea (cruises).
• Optimize port operations and modernize infrastructure .
• Build new shipyards (construction and repair of ships).

The flagship project is the construction of NEOM -Oxagon, the world’s largest floating structure and the world’s first fully automated port and integrated logistics platform.

In this context, Saudi Arabia wishes to partner with leading industrial players to transform Saudi ports into engines of growth and investment in the navigation and transport sectors.
