CAFS participates in Saudi-French Business Forum during President Macron’s visit to Jeddah

4 December 2021 – HE the French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Jeddah with a large business delegation of companies participating in an investment forum organised during his trip. He was the first major western leader to visit the kingdom since 2018.

The CAFS, represented by its President Dr. Mohamed Ben Laden, participated in the Saudi French Business Forum, which gave way of the signature of 27 MOU’s between French and Saudi companies.

The Forum brought together around 101 Saudi companies and 84 French companies, which attended the 6 workshops during the event, and which was opened by HE Eng. Khalid Al Falih the Saudi Minister of Investment, and HE Mr. Franck Riester the French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness.
Representatives of French companies and banks, including Total Energies, Thales, Vivendi, EDF Renewables, Engie, Sanofi, and BNP Paribas, met with chairmen and CEOs of leading Saudi firms and members of the Saudi French Business Council (CAFS), including ACWA Power, Banque Saudi Fransi, Riyad Bank, and Saudi Military Industries Co. Officials from the Public Investment Fund PIF and Royal Commission of AlUla, among others.
