9 April 2018 – The Saudi French Business Council (CAFS) organised its 39th joint meeting at the MEDEF headquarters in Paris, on the occasion of the visit to Paris of H.R.H. Mohammed Ben Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and President of the Council for Economic Affairs of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia.
The meeting took place in the presence of H.E. Majed Al Qasabi, Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment, of H.E. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, State Secretary to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and of Mr. Pierre Gattaz, President of MEDEF.
This event was an opportunity to discuss Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification strategy as part of its “Vision 2030”, to understand the evolution of the business environment and seize development opportunities for French companies in the first economy of the Gulf.
After a plenary session from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., a sectoral workshop on water and agriculture in the presence of H.E. Mr. Abulrahman Al Fadley, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture was organized from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
French companies were also able to discuss with the many heads of Saudi private and public companies, such as the leaders of Aljomaih, Bahri, Dussur, SABIC, SAPTCO, or Zamil Group.
At the end of the meeting, a lunch cocktail offered by Dr. Mohamed Ben Laden, President of the Franco-Saudi Business Council (CAFS) took place at 1 p.m. at the Cercle de l’Union Interallié.
