AIR FRANCE TO RESUME DIRECT FLIGHT PARIS-RIYADH

Air France will inaugurate a non-stop flight to Riyadh from Paris-Charles de Gaulle on May 19th.

And by June 2nd, 2025, this route will be served five times a week by the Airbus A350-900 with morning departures at 08:40 from Riyadh Terminal 1, with an arrival at 14:20 Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2E.

This is a testament to the deep and growing ties between France and Saudi Arabia with its incredible growth and transformation under Vision 2030.

CAFS Hosts Diriyah Site Visit for a French delegation of ESSEC Business School Alumni

The Saudi French Business Council (CAFS) organized a site visit to Diriyah for the ESSEC Business School Alumni delegation, in collaboration with CCI France UAE on October 20, 2024. The purpose of the visit was to explore the Diriyah Giga Project and witness the Kingdom’s remarkable development while preserving its cultural heritage and architectural beauty.

The delegation, accompanied by CAFS representatives, toured the Diriyah project, starting with a visit to the sales center, followed by an insightful tour of Turaif. They also explored the historic UNESCO Diriyah Fort, before enjoying an authentic Saudi culinary experience at Maiz restaurant, located at Bujairi Terrace.

CAFS Welcomes Delegation from ESSEC Business School Alumni in Collaboration with CCI France UAE

The Saudi French Business Council (CAFS) hosted a welcoming meeting, chaired by its President, Dr. Mohammed Ben Laden, for a delegation of CEOs who are alumni of ESSEC Business School. The event, organized in collaboration with CCI France UAE, took place on October 20, 2024, at the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

The delegation consisted of 28 French CEOs and top managers visiting Saudi Arabia from October 19 to 22, 2024, with the aim of exploring the Saudi market across various sectors. They were also keen to understand Saudi culture and the transformative Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and promote sustainability, innovation, and foreign investment.

The program of the meeting included the following presentations:
• Welcoming speech and presentation of CAFS by Dr. Mohammed Ben Laden, President of CAFS
• Remarks on bilateral Saudi-French relations by Mr. Philippe Régis, First Secretary of the French Embassy
• Overview of Saudi Arabia’s macroeconomy by Mrs. Esma Laouadi, Deputy Head of the Economic Department at the French Embassy
• Insight into the Saudi legal framework for companies by Mr. Philippe Fadlalla, Lawyer/Partner at BLK Partners
• Presentation on the Saudi oil & gas sector by Mr. Ahmed Tarzi, Country Chair of TotalEnergies Saudi Arabia
• Living and working in Saudi Arabia by Dr. Vivien Exartier, Member of the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEF) Saudi Arabia and CEO of the Saudi Entertainment Academy

The meeting concluded with a working lunch, allowing for further networking and discussion among the participants.

EY France delivers conference on the attractiveness of French market for the CAFS

Mr. Eric Fourel, President of EY France, and Mr. Mohamed Mabrouk, Partner at EY France, came to Riyadh, on 25 October 2023, to deliver a conference on “France at the forefront today. How about tomorrow?” to CAFS members and other French and Saudi companies, at the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

The Saudi French Business Council (CAFS) was represented by Dr. Mohamed Ben Laden, President, Eng. Faiz Al-Elweet, Vice-President, and Eng. Soufyan AlKabbani, Vice-President.

This conference brought together more than 40 French and Saudi professionals, eager to learn more about the positive environment and the incentive that France offers to foreign investors. The event was concluded by a networking luncheon among participants.

Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Paris (France). This meeting gave way to discussion on the opportunities offered by the Saudi Vision 2030 to French companies willing to invest in the Kingdom, especially in the mining and logistics industries. H.E.
